3.5 Hours Indoors

3.5 Hours Indoors

This week didn’t leave much room for a ride.

Between travel and having Sophie, there was a small window to get something in. She headed to the Easter parade for a few hours, and the forecast called for rain.

So instead of getting outside, I rode indoors.

3.5 hours on the Peloton.

Set up five bottles, gels, and everything I’d need so I wouldn’t have to think about it once I started.

No scenery.

No changing conditions.

Just a steady, controlled effort from start to finish.

To break it up, I split the ride into three 70-minute blocks.

Quick reset in between:

  • swap bottles
  • grab what I needed
  • get back on

Nothing complicated.

It wasn’t exciting.

It wasn’t one of those rides where everything clicks.

But it was consistent.

Caught up on a few shows.

Kept the effort steady the whole way.

And by the end, I was definitely ready to be done.

(Physically… and otherwise.)

Not every ride is about pushing limits.

Sometimes it’s just about putting in the time and keeping things moving forward.

Today was one of those days.

Rise. Rock. Ride.

Resilience Amplified.
